The Bainbridge High School varsity girls basketball team finished eighth overall in the recent 3A Girls Metro League District Qualifier, advancing to the SeaKing District Tournament.

In the Metro bracket, BHS battled through a loser-out match against Bishop Blanchet Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Blanchet, emerging victorious with a final score of 64-56.

Then, on Thursday, Feb. 7, the Spartans bested Holy Names Academy 48-36 to claim the eighth-place spot and advance to the district tournament.

Their first game, a loser-out affair, was Thursday, Feb. 14 against Ballard.
