TUESDAY, MAY 7
9:58 a.m. A pair of socks were apparently stolen from the mailbox of a 69-year-old Bainbridge woman.
She called police to report she’d received a package in the mail, which was empty. She asked her mail carrier about the package, and was told it had not been empty when it was put in the mailbox.
The mail was supposedly delivered around 3:30 p.m., and the woman’s husband checked the box at about 6 p.m. Nothing else appeared to have been stolen, she said. The package was apparently opened, the socks taken, and then placed back in the mailbox.
There are no suspects.
A report was filed.
