Bainbridge Island Fly Fishers will host its 10th annual fly casting competition next week.

The casting contest is planned to take place during the club’s meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Seabold Community Hall, 14450 Komedal Road.

All are invited to participate or watch. Who will be the declared the “Best Feather Thrower” on Bainbridge Island? No matter if you are new to fly fishing or have been at it for a while, you are invited to participate in this event. Hotdogs and beverages will be provided.

As a special bonus, people who participate in the fly casting competition will get a raffle ticket and be eligible to win one of several donated items that include: a new Sage chest pack (value $100); a new Martin three-piece, 6-7 WT fly rod and reel set up with line (value $50); a new Korus fishing hip pack (value $35); plus other items. Raffle contestants must be present to win.

Winners of the competition will win a share of the $100 worth of gift cards to local fly shop Peninsula Outfitters.
