To the editor:
Bobbie Moran is so right: “Let’s all work, young and old, to make a livable future happen.” (‘Let’s work together for a livable future’ by Bobbie Morgan, Bainbridge Island Review, June 9, 2019)
Inspired by the young activists, we can each do our part to create a better world. I have been volunteering with RESULTS (results.org) for more than 25 years, working to end hunger and poverty. We are definitely making progress against hunger, disease, and child mortality, but need your help to complete this work.
Next month, I will join more than 500 other volunteers in Washington, D.C. to learn and lobby in this effort, including 75 Real Change Scholars (18-30 years old).
Join us or speak up on your own: Write letters and make calls to those who represent you, asking them to prioritize solutions to these issues. Then follow up until there are the changes are passed; and always vote!
