A section of Highway 305 north of the Agate Passage Bridge is closed, and is expected to remain so for several hours, due to a traffic accident, according to a notice sent out by the city of Bainbridge Island at about 11:40 a.m. Monday.

The highway is closed between Suquamish Way and George Lane, and traffic is being detoured to Suquamish Way.

Delays are expected.
