Bainbridge Art Museum

Conceptual designs for the new art museum will be on display during Art Walk from 6-8 p.m. May 7 at the site of its future home at the corner of State Route 305 and Winslow Way.

Bainbridge High School

Bainbridge High School student art will be shown during the Spring Festival beginning at 6 p.m. at Bainbridge High School, 9330 High School Rd.

Bainbridge Performing Arts

Artist Carrie Goller and photographer Crystal Satko-Moore collaborate to present a fusion of oil, encaustic mixed media and photography entitled on “Bainbridge – Then and Now.” at Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery, 200 Madison Ave.

Bainbridge Public Library

Bainbridge Public Library, 1270 Madison Ave. features Mary Rowland’s work 5-7 p.m. May 7. Rowland, a fine arts instructor at Bainbridge High School, uses Casein paint, a milk-based paint similar to tempera. Much of her colorful work incorporates collage and found objects. ‘Second Chance Dance’ is painted on a recycled cabinet door with found hinges and door knob.

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts

The Gallery at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts, 151 Winslow Way, takes an intimate look at The Woods. The group show, featuring the work of Gretchen Hancock, Denise Harris, Bob Hickernell, Brian Kemkes, Lowell Martin, Mary McInnis, Elizabeth Moga, Seth Rolland, Karin Schminke, and Dave Schweitzer, visits the memory and mystery of the woods. An artist’s reception is from 6-9 p.m. May 7.

Gallery at Grace

Gallery at Grace, 8595 East Day Road, shows the work of Elizabeth Reed Smith in “Precious Arbor,” through May. Smith’s work depicts trees engraved in copper, silverpaint drawing and mixed media with gold leaf.

Arts Studio Gallery

Arts Studio Gallery, 7869 Fletcher Bay Rd., shows collaborative monoprints by Bob Carlson and Dick Weiss from May 8-June 19. Open house on May 8 from 6-9 p.m. Carlson and Weiss will give an artists’ talk May 12 at 7 p.m. Info: 842-1294.

Director’s Gallery

The Director’s Gallery, 126 Madrone Lane, shows Bainbridge artist Beth Van Liere with nearly 30 of her paintings depicting travels to Europe, as well as her homes in Michigan and Bainbridge.

Island Gallery

Island Gallery, 100 Madison Ave. shows “City Lights,” new works by jewelry artist Connie Castellano. An artist’s reception is from 6-8 p.m. May 7.

Roby King Gallery
