U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer will host a series of town halls throughout the 6th District over the next two weeks, including a telephone town hall for people who can’t attend one of the town halls in person.
“I work for the people I represent and it’s important to me that I get opportunities to hear directly from you,” said Kilmer, a Gig Harbor Democrat. “I hope folks will be able to join one of my upcoming town halls to share their ideas and concerns.”
Kilmer held town halls earlier this year in Tacoma, Poulsbo, Belfair, Port Angeles, Quilcene, Montesano, and on Facebook. Upcoming town halls are planned for Westport (Aug. 26), Kingston (Aug. 29), Gig Harbor (Sept. 3) and Forks (Sept. 4).
The town hall in Kingston starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 and will be held in the Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE.
The telephone town hall is planned for Monday, Sept. 9.
Residents of the 6th District who would like to join the call can send an email to kilmer.teletownhall@mail.house.gov with their name, address, and phone number by Sunday, Sept. 8. Residents who sign up before the deadline will receive a phone call on Monday, Sept. 9 inviting them to the telephone town hall.
