Arts & Humanities Bainbridge has announced the winners for its revitalized Individual Artist Grant program, which supports artists who live or engage artistically on Bainbridge Island and enables them to pursue a practice that contributes to the cultural life of the community.
The goal of the Individual Artist Grant is to support the creation of new work by eligible artistic professionals.
This year, visual artists who live here or have a permanent studio on Bainbridge Island were eligible to apply.
Applicants provided details of their ongoing or upcoming projects. AHB was especially interested in new work that would positively impacted the wider community.
Each projects’ artistic merit and the artist’s financial need as it relates to their practice were taken into consideration, with grants of up to $1,000 being awarded.
This years winners are: Wendy Orville (monotype printer); Kenna Moser (painter); Anna Teiche (painter/fiber artist); Steve Stolee (videographer/photographer); and Joel Sackett (photographer).
