To the editor:

On behalf of the Battle Point Astronomical Association, thank you to the Review and especially Seraine Page for your recent article on the installation of the sundial in Battle Point Park (May 29).

While the article rightly reported that “Those who offered construction services — pro bono — were also a great help to the project,” I’d like to especially acknowledge and thank Marty Sievertson and PHC Construction for their considerable pro bono work on the sundial’s concrete pedestal.

We appreciate the community’s interest in this project and hope folks will visit the sundial often and think about what it tells us about our place in the Solar System.

And as Jack Horkheimer always said, “Keep looking up!”
