THURSDAY, NOV. 28

3:18 a.m. A 27-year-old Silverdale man was arrested for driving under the influence.

Police saw the man traveling north on Highway 305, going excessively fast and often swerving. Ultimately, the vehicle was stopped and the man, who insisted he’d only had one “6 percent IPA beer approximately two hours prior” did poorly on the field sobriety test and blew a .105 on the breathalyzer test.

His car was moved off the road and not towed. His keys handed over to his passenger, who, after admitting to having used marijuana that night, was given a ride home by another friend.

The man was arrested and processed without incident and taken to Kitsap County Jail. His bail was set at $5,000 as he had no previous DUI offenses.
