It’s snow joke: Bainbridge Island may be hit with a bit of the white stuff this weekend.

That’s the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Friday’s unrelenting rain will continue into Saturday on Bainbridge.

Showers are expected to continue, mainly before 10 a.m., with the rain returning after 4 p.m. (The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.)

The high temperature for the day is expected to crest near 44 degrees.

It will also be breezy: north-northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph are forecast for the afternoon, and gusts could hit as high as 20 mph.

Come Sunday, more rain is expected before 4 p.m., followed by rain mixed with snow. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

On Sunday night, the rain-and-snow combo will continue, and with a low around 27, it will be “blustery,” according to the National Weather Service.

The snow may also stick: New snow accumulation of less than a half an inch is possible.

More snow is expected next week, with snow likely Monday morning before 10 a.m.

Snow remains in the forecast through the week.
