SATURDAY, DEC. 28

6:29 p.m. A 41-year-old Port Angeles man who had been previously trespassed from Town & Country Market returned and refused to leave, ultimately resisting arrest when police arrived to escort him out.

The man was being verbally aggressive in the market, according to a police report. Officers arrived to find him and three employees in the hot bar area of the store, where a tray of food was on the ground at the man’s feet and he was arguing with an employee. He was yelling about not understanding why he had to leave and not wanting to go.

Police approached and the man argued with them, insisting he did not want to leave.

He was finally told to leave or he’d be arrested, at which point a police officer began counting to 10, telling the man he would be arrested at the conclusion of the count.

Count finished, the man said, “Now what?”

He initially put his hands behind his back as directed, but then began puling away and struggling with police.

Ultimately, the man was subdued on the ground and arrested.
