Dzintra Aina (Zamelis) Zommers was born on November 8, 1942 in Riga, Latvia. She passed away on January 23, 2020. Her family emigrated from Latvia to the United States at the close of World War II. She lived on Bainbridge Island for most of her life. Dzintra is survived by three sons: Andrejs, Karlis (Christi), and Pauls. She was a doting grandmother to five grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 12:30 PM at the Seattle Latvian Lutheran Church at 11710 3rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seattle Latvian Lutheran Church.
