Gov. Jay Inslee will hold a press conference Monday afternoon in Olympia to give an update and information on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) virus in Washington state.

Inslee will be joined by Dr. John Wiesman, secretary of the Washington State Department of Health and Robert Ezelle, director of the Washington State Department of Emergency Management.

The governor declared a state of emergency Saturday in response to new cases of COVID-19, and has directed state agencies to use all resources necessary to prepare for and respond to the outbreak.

The press conference is at 3 p.m. and will be live-streamed by TVW and on the governor’s Facebook page.
