A total of 37 people in Washington state have died from 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Washington State Department of Health.
In a new assessment of the spread of COVID-19, state health officials reported Friday that there have been 568 confirmed cases of the deadly virus in Washington.
King County remains the epicenter of the COVID-19 crisis; 32 residents have died from coronavirus and 328 cases have been confirmed through Friday afternoon.
Three cases of COVID-19 have been in Kitsap County:
• A South Kitsap resident in their 40s was reported on March 13;
• A Bainbridge Island resident in their 70s was reported March 10; and
• A Bainbridge Island resident in their 60s was reported March 8.
