The Bloedel Reserve will be temporarily closed at least through the end of March.

Officials with the nonprofit, 150-acre forest garden announced the closure on the reserve’s website Monday night.

Officials said the closure will be reevaluated each weekly.

The closure includes the grounds, as well as the gatehouse, the shop, the residence, and the administrative offices. All scheduled events through April 30 have been cancelled.

“Our dedicated staff will continue to care for the grounds and facilities, using new protocols to help protect their health and safety. Our administrative staff will be telecommuting,” the Bloedel Reserve said in its announcement.

“Like other arts and cultural organizations around the region, we are taking this action to help protect the health and safety of our guests, staff, volunteers and the community at large,” the announcement added.

Officials said some events may be rescheduled later in the year.
