An Air Quality Alert for smoke has been issued by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency until 7 p.m. Saturday.
Air quality is expected to worsen Thursday and reach levels Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups in many areas of Puget Sound.
Smoke is expected to worsen on Friday before starting to clear Saturday, but still remain moderate in some areas.
Some areas may have higher concentrations for short durations if the Schneider Springs plume moves into the area.
Wildfire smoke can cause serious health problems, like asthma attacks and heart attacks. Sensitive groups (children, older adults, those pregnant, or with heart or lung conditions) should stay indoors when possible to avoid the smoke.
If you have to be outside use an N95 mask. To get the latest updates, go to www.pscleanair.org
