Celebrity Chef Greg Atkinson lends his culinary artistry to prepare a multi-course gourmet dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 20 at San Carlos Restaurant. “A Feast for the Senses” pairs Atkinson’s menu – Savory spinach flan with grilled scampi and tomato butter, grilled tenderloin of beef with polenta, roasted red peppers and braised greens, spring greens with toasted pine nuts, parmesan crisp and balsamic vinaigrette; and for dessert, tiramisu with gianduja – along with wine, music and socializing.
“It’s just going to be a quality evening,” said Lee Jorgensen, owner of San Carlos who is donating use of the venue for the event.
In between courses, Seattle singer Paul Hearn and Elizabeth Schultz will perform a variety of operatic pieces from Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, Catalani’s La Wally and Puccini’s La Bohème.
The San Carlos Festival Quartet, a string ensemble assembled by Tom Monk for the event, will also perform.
Following dinner, a silent and brief live auction will feature boat trips, Best of Bainbridge gift certificates, wine baskets, and more.
The event, the 40-year old Chorale’s first fund raiser, will celebrate the longstanding tradition of Chorale performances on Bainbridge.
“Music is so important,” said Stephanie Harris, long-time chorale singer and event chairperson. “Music brings us together.”
