The Bainbridge Performing Arts Theatre School’s 2016 Spring Send-Off, a rollicking evening showcase bursting with theatrical attractions, will return to the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 10.
Students of BPA’s Teen Intensive program have penned an original murder mystery comedy to showcase their acting and singing abilities. Titled “Diner 66! The Musical with Songs,” audience members are sure to delight in this event — which is largely self-designed but also showcases dance choreography by Helen Heaslip and fight choreography by Ken Michels.
“The students who take the spring Teen Intensive are the ones most dedicated to the theater school program,” said director Liz Ellis.
“It’s very exciting to learn what they’re capable of after all these years on our stage and watch them start to take control of their own performance.”
This is the culminating performance of the 2015-2016 school year.
BPA Theatre School’s Spring Send-Off 2016 is appropriate for audience members ages 8 and up due to stage combat scenes and “older kid” themes.
Tickets, $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, youth, students, military and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at BPA (200 Madison Ave. North).
