The Island Film Group will gather this week to watch Joan Crawford act a little crazy.
Movie buffs will screen the film noir classic “Possessed,” a 1947 Warner Brothers picture directed by Curtis Bernhardt.
In the film, a team of doctors try to put the pieces back together after a woman (Crawford) has a mental breakdown and is found wandering the streets of Los Angeles.
The Island Film Group meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at the Bainbridge Public Library.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts hosts “1948,” a benefit gala to celebrate the gallery’s founding year, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at Grace Episcopal Church.
“What Do You Know: Learning with Community Experts” returns to the Bainbridge Public Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.
The Library Book Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Bainbridge Public Library.
