Each Friday, Bainbridge Cinemas will offer five current movies – not just kid’s fare – at 10 a.m. for moms, dads, grandparents, nannies and caregivers to enjoy with their babies.
The sound will be turned down, strollers will be parked in the hallway and the expectation is that there may be some crying, cooing, talking and general baby sounds. Parents are welcome to feed their babies, pace the aisles or do whatever makes them and their children comfortable while enjoying the latest flick.
“This is a way for new parents to get out of the house and enjoy a movie at the theater without feeling like they’re disrupting other patrons,” said theater co-owner Jeff Brein. “They’ll be in good company with other parents and understanding if other children are noisy.”
The schedule each week can be found at www.farawayentertainment.com/location/bainbridge-cinemas.
Tickets will be matinée priced at $8.50, and children ages 5 and under get in for free.
