Seattle’s Shelby Earl comes to Rolling Bay

Having recently completed a successful European tour in support of her latest record, “Swift Arrows,” Seattle-based alternative pop singer/songwriter Shelby Earl will wrap up her 2014 tour calendar with a stop on Bainbridge Island at Rolling Bay Hall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Having recently completed a successful European tour in support of her latest record, “Swift Arrows,” Seattle-based alternative pop singer/songwriter Shelby Earl will wrap up her 2014 tour calendar with a stop on Bainbridge Island at Rolling Bay Hall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Earl was named by NPR/LA Times music critic Ann Powers as her “new favorite songwriter,” and her solo debut album, “Burn the Boats,” was named the “No. 1 Outstanding 2011 Album You Might Have Missed” by Amazon.

She has since garnered praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Paste Magazine, NPR, KEXP, No Depression, American Songwriter and many more.

Earl’s Bainbridge show, with the Toronto-based group Field Study opening, is produced by the Bainbridge Island nonprofit performance group Spacecraft.

“Spacecraft is on a mission to curate arts events for original artists and adventurous audiences,” Spacecraft co-founder Morgan Terry said. “We’re in pursuit of celebrating new ideas, launching creative careers and transmitting good vibes between artist and audience.”
