To the editor:

Kiwanis Club of Bainbridge Island would like to heartily thank ACE Hardware and Steve Mikami for the generous donation of paint, primer, painting equipment and fixtures for our most recent project.

We took on a job for the Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island, “sprucing up” a 1,200-square-foot meeting room that doubles as the kids tumbling and dodge ball room. Needless to say there was a lot of caulking and prep work involved!

When Kiwanis approached Mikami, owner of Ace Hardware, we were greeted with a warm smile and “Of course we can help!”

This island is one big community and it is wonderful to still have business owners that embody that essence. Thank You, ACE Hardware!
