To the editor:

I feel very fortunate to live on Bainbridge Island where we have taken emergency preparedness seriously.

Thank you to Map Your Neighborhood and Bainbridge Prepares for providing us the structure to meet and connect with neighbors as well as prepare for a disaster.

I certainly didn’t think it would be a virus that would cause us to “Shelter in Place.” Now that we are social distancing and some of us self-quarantined, it is comforting to have our neighborhood contact list to connect socially online, as well as share information and ask for and offer help.
