To the editor:

I served on the city council with Sarah Blossom for four years. She was there before me, and was there when I left. Remarkably, she is willing to give it yet another go.

Bainbridge Islanders can best protect the values expressed in our comprehensive plan and have an experienced and reliable voice for good government by returning Sarah to the council.

Governing Bainbridge Island is complicated, time consuming and sometimes exhausting. Sarah never wavers. She is smart, she is a hard worker, and she is scrupulously principled and honest. She listens to her constituents. She approaches new challenges with an open and independent mind. She holds herself and those that work with her to high standards of excellence and civil behavior.

She has worked tirelessly for years on council initiatives aimed at protecting the natural environment on the Island. At the same time, she understands that our comprehensive plan demands that she also deal fairly and effectively with many other issues, from transportation to social services and affordable housing.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Reelect Sarah Blossom.
