Boy am I glad that Bob Scales has announced his intention to run for mayor of Bainbridge Island this fall. Bob has all the leadership qualities and experience to be the kind of mayor our community needs.

Although I was one of the first people to sign the petition to change the form of government to council-manager, I now believe that Bob Scales gives us a better option.

The city is in such bad shape that we need to have a strong mayor in charge who can put things right. I think Bob has the skills to make great improvements in the way our City is run.

I served for four years on the Winslow City Council and four years on the Bainbridge Island City Council.

I know that a leader like Bob does not come around often. Let’s send him to the mayor’s office so he can help put our city back on the right track.
