To the editor:

It’s not about the money, it’s the principle of the matter. Sure. I’m waiting to hear that Fortner et al are refusing the money, saving us taxpayers about $50 each.

It’s not about the money. I am kind of envious that I didn’t think of this lawsuit. Maybe I could sue for the council members phone call transcripts, just to be sure that no nefarious plots are being formed. Or maybe follow them around town to make sure they don’t contact other members.

It may not be about the money, but why would anyone want to be on the city council at all, if this is what they have to put up with. It’s a lot easier to criticize government than to be part of government.
