Is anybody watching? Are we all just lambs waiting to be told where to walk and where to drive our car?
Recently I tried to walk to Town & Country from Winslow Way and Madison Avenue, and there was no sidewalk on either side of the street for me to pass by the destruction in the street.
I had to back-up and walk through the alleyways to get to and from the market.
While on my way I was horrified to see that the destruction company had cut down another beautiful tree (probably in the middle of the night) at the far corner of the T&C front parking lot closest to the Streamliner Diner. It was one of the most beautiful trees on the street and gave us beautiful color in the fall and full shade during the summer.
Is there someone asking us if this is OK? Or does the plan call for all the old established trees to be yanked out and be replaced by the urban future we are forced to accept. Somebody do something.
