Don’t throw our treasures overboard | Letters | March 6

Array

Through good times and bad, all Washington State Parks are treasures worthy of the utmost respect – especially during these trying times. It’s through adversity we can learn the most. That time is here now. This is a time to buckle up and secure the load, not start throwing parks overboard. What parks represent, constitutes hope for the future of the world as it is – symbols of pride and heritage, gifts to our children.

Hardship is everywhere and Bainbridge is no exception. How do we look to ourselves when faced with challenges? By not looking to others and by raising our collective consciousness. And by challenging our egos through determination and struggle.

Just struggle through it, Washington State Parks. Believe that you can. The sun will rise another day.
