Fund raiser helps four-legged friends | Letters | Feb. 26

On Jan. 30 we put on a carnival and cakewalk to support Ferry Dog Mothers, an animal rescue service in Rolling Bay. With profits from the event and greatly appreciated in-kind donations, we raised $1,320 in two short hours!

We would like to thank all the kind people who helped put this carnival together, including the cake-making moms and dads as well as people who stopped by to show their support and make a donation.

A special thanks to Blackbird Bakery, Ordway Elementary School, Sound Reprographics, graphic artist Susan Croy Roth, Bon Bon, MRJ Constructors, Bainbridge Paint and Design, My Kids Cookies, Bainbridge Island Safeway and the Bainbridge Island Review.

Many dogs, sheep, goats, rabbits and other animals in need will be helped with the money we raised.

And please, if you are considering adding a four-legged friend to the family, adopt! Animals at Ferry Dog Mothers want to belong to a family like yours.
