To the editor: I would like to express my appreciation to the persons responsible for the miles of trails and paths on our island.

To the editor:

I would like to express my appreciation to the persons responsible for the miles of trails and paths on our island. We are so blessed to have well-maintained forested trails and park paths within a few minutes drive of most of our homes.

So, on behalf of me and my fellow dog-walkers and the runners, walkers and bikers who use these trails/paths daily, thank you for your efforts. You help make our days better.
