Kitsap world wide travelers — enlisted sailors, corporate business or vacations — need to know that the 14-year-old student, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in Pakistan well represents the Middle East people.

For example, after maternity leave my then wife returned to her teaching job in Chicago. A couple from Iran did the babysitting for our infant daughter. One night, the husband, a University of Chicago grad student told me, “I think she is highly intelligent.”

He elaborated his evidence to show more than flattery. Readers, have faith. There are intelligent people throughout the Middle East. They, too, are more than willing to help financially squeezed two income American households. They can be right too. Our daughter now has degrees from Harvard and Columbia.

Keep students from abroad in our public schools, universities and companies. Through the organization, Results, I support foreign assistance, the Global Fund and World Bank too.
