To the editor:

A commercial zipline is being proposed for a small wooded area between the quiet residential neighborhood of Blakely Heights and the Pleasant Beach Village development.

As a homeowner living near the proposed site, I am concerned about noise impacts, lighting impacts, privacy impacts, parking impacts and the impacts on traffic flow.

This business would likely be dependent on shuttling in tourists from Seattle and beyond. Is this what we want for our small community? I say no. Please join me and a growing coalition of Bainbridge residents in opposing this proposal.

Sign our petition www.ipetitions.com/petition/no-to-zipline and contact city planners with your comments by Dec. 28.
