To the editor:

Looks like there is an improvement to the ultra-thin plastic bag. It looks the same, however there is no need to double bag this sucker, because it’s an improvement!

It holds up to 25 pounds and – best yet – is reusable. We have a cat and one can imagine what life would be like without plastic bags.

With the introduction of this new plastic bag and its increased capacity, we should give this new product an opportunity to prove its worth and not simply ban an item because it’s plastic!

I can envision simply keeping the new bag next to the litter dish and not worry whether after a few weeks the bag may break as I take it to the trash.

Embrace the new technology. Don’t take my plastic bags away!
