To the editor:

I was happy to read of State  Sen. Christine Rolfes being honored as “Legislator of the Year” for her work on veterans issues.

We can sometimes forget how fortunate we are to have such good representation in Olympia — not only Sen. Rolfes, but Rep. Appleton and Rep. Hansen. Especially when we read about irresponsible legislators elsewhere in the area broadcasting intolerant and unsupported views, I want to thank our thoughtful and responsible representatives for their work.
