To the editor:
Whether it is school shootings, unemployment, abortion or a whole host of other social ills that dominate the news we would like to think that what we do about them, particularly in government and law, is the right and just thing to do.
The following is from the book “Natural Law,” by Dr. Alberto M. Piedra:
“Once an objective moral code of conduct is removed from political and economic life and ethical relativism sets in, history tends to demonstrate that both democratic and free societies eventually turn into an open or thinly disguised totalitarianism.”
I believe that he has described precisely where we are headed, and why we are.
