To the editor:

We would like to thank the city of Bainbridge for the great hospitality on Feb. 5. I heard the ferry took 11,000 people over to Seattle that morning to see the parade. We couldn’t find parking anywhere, so we decided to park in the 2-hour-limit parking along with other cars that were also in the same “boat.”

We fully expected a big parking ticket when we returned. I just want to thank the city because when we returned there was not a ticket! Thanks again.
