To the editor:
OK, I’m sorry, but I have completely had it with people who text and drive.
If you are doing this people, you need to stop. NOW.
My daughter is currently taking Drivetech classes. She is diligently studying her Washington State Department of Transportation instruction manual in order to become the best driver she can be. And yet, you that text and drive, in defiance of the law and simple physics, put my daughter and everyone else’s children in danger of being killed because whatever is currently on your smart phone is more important than life itself!
So STOP. Stop now.
Please understand when you hear me honk my horn at you as you drive down High School Road with your phone held high and your eyes down (that was me just 10 minutes ago honking at you) that I am angry about this, and I will follow you and berate you for simply not doing what is right and decent.
I’m fairly certain that when you are being prosecuted for vehicular homicide, after decimating someone else’s life and family, that whatever ubiquitous text that you just had to respond to immediately, was not even remotely that important.
