Art walk at the library features Barbara Winther

Original drawings by Barbara Winther from her book “The Time of the Kachinas” will be on display for the month of August in the meeting room of the Bainbridge Public Library.

Original drawings by Barbara Winther from her book “The Time of the Kachinas” will be on display for the month of August in the meeting room of the Bainbridge Public Library.

The library will participate in the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7. At 6 p.m. there will be a short slide presentation about Hopi Kachinas.

The pen-and-ink drawings were created by Winther and painted in traditional colors by Lynn Cooper. Both Winther and Cooper will be on hand to sign books, which will be available for sale.
