Bainbridge Island Pride hosts picnic in the park

Bainbridge Pride, in conjunction with Kitsap Pride Network, will host a public picnic and concert at Waterfront Park in downtown Winslow from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 23.

Admission is free; donations will be accepted. Proceeds will help pay for the bands, festival equipment, and city permits, marketing print material and other 2018 Bainbridge Island Pride functions.

“Our event will celebrate island friends, families and allies from the LGBTQ community as well as people from surrounding area,” said BI Pride spokesman Derek Villanueva.

The bands slated to play at the picnic are Cuban Heels, Moon, Zydeco and Cherry Boy.
