While graduation at Bainbridge High School was the highlight of the end of school in the Bainbridge Island School District, the middle and elementary schools also ended the year with various celebrations.
At Ordway and other elementary schools they celebrated with Field Day.
Because of continued COVID-19 concerns it looked a little different this year. Gone were the relay and sack races and other events that brought kids too close together. Instead they participated in events such as hula hoops course, dancing with bubbles, paper airplane flying contests, chalk decorating and painting.
Ordway also had car parades for students, and Wilkes had one scheduled for Wednesday. Also part of the tradition was the Moving Up Assembly at Blakely.
