The Bainbridge Island Fruit Club’s monthly meeting is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21 and will be held at the Bainbridge Grange Hall.

Charles Schafer will speak on bees. He is known locally as an “Ambassador for Bees,” and can be found most Saturdays during the farmers market season at his educational booth.

During the club’s meeting, Schafer will focus on mason bees, bumblebees and honeybees, the differences between them, their life cycles and pollination.

This is an all-ages, free meeting. Bring snacks to share if you can.
