All are invited to come learn about and weigh in on eight of the most important foreign policy issues facing the United States today during the latest “Great Decisions at the Library” series, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, Feb. 16 to April 13 at Bethany Lutheran Church (7968 Finch Road NE).
Admission is free, though donations are accepted. Refreshments will be provided.
The schedule of topics is: Global Migration on Feb. 16; U.S. Trade with China on Feb. 23; U.S./Mexico Relations on March 2; Middle East Disorder on March 9; Nuclear Negotiations on March 16; The State of the State Department on March 30; Cyber Conflict on April 6; and The Rise of Populism in Europe on April 13.
Now in its 14th year, Great Decisions at the Library is part of a nationwide, nonpartisan program of the Foreign Policy Association intended to broaden public involvement in foreign affairs.
While enjoying coffee and pastries, Great Decisions at the Library participants first view a 30-minute Foreign Policy Association film on the topic under consideration, then engage in a discussion lead by an informed moderator.
A Briefing Book, published by the Foreign Policy Association, is also available.
