Bainbridge Performing Arts will present the final shows of “Distracted” this weekend.
The performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
“Distracted” stars Jennifer Jett (Mama), Todd Erler (Dad), Cymbeline Brody (Jesse), Victoria Brown (Dr. Zavala/ Carolyn/ Waitress), Barbara Deering (Dr. Waller/Mrs. Holly/Nurse), Ken Enright (Daniel Broder/ Actor with ADD/Dr. Jinks/ Dr. Karnes), SueEllen VanDuyne (Sherry), Jocelyn Maher (Vera) and Katriana Zommers (Natalie).
The story centers on Jesse, a distracted 9 year old. He can’t sit still, he raps, he curses, and he won’t get in — or out — of his pajamas. His teacher thinks it’s ADD, but his dad says he’s just a boy. Mama’s on a quest for answers.
The witty and thoughtful comic drama by Lisa Loomer is a dramatic comedy for adults that asks, “Are we so tuned into our 24/7 info-rich world that we’ve tuned out what really matters?”
Tickets are $27 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $19 for students, youth, military and teachers, and may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Ave. North.
