One Act Fest is back for another year of short comedic plays presented by Bainbridge Performing Arts’ famed Dinah Manoff and Northwest Actors Lab.

Manoff, who is best known for her performances in such Broadway productions as “I Ought To Be In Pictures,” of which she received a Tony Award, and the 1978 film “Grease,” in which she starred as the spunky Marty Maraschino, took the lead in putting together the One Act Fest for 2010 and 2011. After a year off to focus on other productions, she is back at it.

The 2013 series will run from Jan. 17 through Jan. 20 and offer a range of playwrights, both obscure and notable.

Manoff will be directing four of the 12 performances. Other directors are Barbara Deering, Tom Challinor, Ken Michels and Tim Davidson.

The productions present actors from Manoff’s Northwest Actors Lab classes.

The shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and also at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, students, youth, military and teachers and can be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at the BPA Box Office, from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and one hour prior to each performance.
