Come join the astronomers of the Battle Point Astronomical Association for Astronomy Day, from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
Activities include tours of the observatory and the best view of Battle Point Park. There will be demonstrations, viewing the sun through solar telescopes, star gazing at night, journey to a comet and a 7 p.m. planetarium show on auroras.
The Battle Point Astronomical Association is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park.
