The life and works of noted photographer Gregory Crewdson will be explored via the screening of the documentary film “Brief Encounters” at the upcoming Bainbridge Island Photo Club movie night event at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Huney Hall (370 Brien Drive SE).

Crewdson is most well known for his photographs of American homes and neighborhoods which are dramatic and cinematic in style. They feature often disturbing, surreal events. His photographs are elaborately staged and lit using crews familiar with motion picture production and lighting large scenes using appropriate equipment and techniques.

The screening is free and open to the public. Popcorn and drinks will be supplied.
