As a holiday gift to the island community, Eagle Harbor Congregational Church is hosting a free music series on Tuesday evenings in December.

These short evening concerts will feature instrumental and vocal performances by professional local musicians, and range from classical offerings to singer/songwriter originals. All events start at 7 p.m. and run an hour or less and are offered at no charge, though artist donations are always appreciated.

Dec. 3: String trios by Bach, Haydn and Beethoven, featuring Stephen Bryant (violin), Sue Jane Bryant (viola) and Barbara Deppe (cello).

Dec. 10: Singer/songwriter Lori Dreier offers songs of love, hope and joy, with Shelly Huffman (vocals) and Carol Estes (piano).

Dec. 17: An Evening of Bach with Alexia Christante (piano).
