The Bainbridge Public Library will host a free composting class at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9.

Are you interested in starting a home composting system? Would you like to improve your current set-up? Master composter John Barutt will lead a 60-minute workshop that has all the answers.

The program will be held in the library garden near the garden shed.
