Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is hosting two exhibitions in February dedicated to textile and mixed media arts, which will officially premiere at 6 p.m. at the First Friday Art Walk Friday, Feb. 7.
The first showcases the work of Caroline Cooley Browne who explores growth and community through intimate groupings of mixed media vessels including fabric, paper, wood, and even tape. Their postures are expressive and remarkably human, and their conversations potentially endless.
The second exhibition is Fiber Art Now, featuring the work of several exciting artists who are redefining the textile arts and taking fiber into strikingly modern territory. Works will be on display by Deborah Babin, Lou Cabeen, Maria Groat, Linda McFarland, Heather McGilvray, Kim Morris, Carol Roi Olsen, Lynnette Sandbloom, Barbara Zander and Dana Ziesemer.
